Kürzlich erreichte mich endlich wieder eine Illumicrate Box. Dabei handelt es sich um eine englische Buchbox, die mit Versand bei ungefähr 35€ liegt, was ich für eine ausländische Box mit dem Inhalt angemessen finde. Sie erscheint alle drei Monate.

Inhalt
Diese Box hatte laut Spoilerkarte das Thema Rise Up! und meiner Meinung nach passten die Items gut dazu, die übrigens alle exklusiv für die Box designed worden sind. Als erstes entdeckte ich einen kleinen Karton, in dem sich eine hübsche Tasse befand. Die Inimitable Mug wurde von Abbie Imagine designed.
Unter dem kleinen Karton lag ein roter Stoff. Als ich ihn vom Verpackungsmaterial befreit hatte, sah ich, dass es sich um einen Kissenbezug mit einem tollen Zitat aus einem von Sabaa Tahirs Büchern handelt. Ich bin leider kein Fan der Farbe, werde den Bezug, der von Stella Bookish Art erstellt wurde, also vermutlich verschenken.
Neben ein paar Leseproben und Lesezeichen gab es einen coolen Notizblock – A Rebel’s Command List von House of Wonderland, einen Phoenix Magneten exklusiv von Hannah Hitchman Art, Lunar Lip Balm von LovelyLipBalm, der richtig gut & süßlich duftet, ein Holzschwert Lesezeichen von RJACKdotcom mit dem Spruch „Isn’t that what stories do, make real things fake, and fake things real?“ (Marie Rutkoski, Autorin von Die Kronos Geheimnisse) und ein The Hazel Wood Notizbuch mit Stift.
Bücher
Diesmal gab es nicht nur zwei Bücher, sondern sogar eine Hardcover-Ausgabe. Dabei handelt es sich um Blood and Sand von C.V. Wyk.

Das andere Buch hat einen lilafarbenen Buchschnitt. Auch, wenn das absolut nicht meine Farbe ist, finde ich das ziemlich cool. Farbige Buchschnitte sind irgendwie immer etwas besonderes. Es handelt sich um ein Leseexemplar von The Smoke Thieves von Sally Green, welches im Mai 2018 erscheint.

Fazit
Dieses Mal bin ich insgesamt leider nicht so begeistert wie bei der August-Box. An die November Box kann ich mich ehrlich gesagt gar nicht mehr erinnern, aber ich glaube, sie gefiel mir gut. Auch wenn es diesmal ein Hardcover-Buch und relativ teure Items gab, wie die Tasse und der Kissenbezug, bin ich nicht komplett überzeugt. Ein Highlight habe ich nicht wirklich, ich finde alle Items ganz cool, aber es ist keines dabei, das mich völlig umhaut.
Die nächste Box wird mich dank des Abos dann im Mai erreichen. Zusätzlich bekomme ich eine der Starfall Sonderboxen, die sich thematisch um die Reich der sieben Höfe Reihe von Sarah J. Maas drehen wird – noch ist sie vorrätig! Hier könnt ihr euch ältere Buchboxen anschauen.
